Today I am sharing (a little belated) my Christmas seasonal project pan where I attempted to use up 6 products. Check it out below!
I stopped into Ulta quickly before lunch with a friend to use my 20% coupon before it expired. It’s not the most fun haul, as it’s a lot of necessities, but I have decided to adhere to a No Spend for the time being. My makeup collection is out of control…maybe not as much as some bloggers/YouTubers, but for me, it’s pretty ridiculous. So 2017 will be a lot of project panning and curating a makeup collection that I use and love.
But I digress…So I have had a horribly itchy, dry scalp this season. I decided to try the Nioxin system for scalp care to help with the flakiness and irritation I have been experiencing. I bought the set, which includes a shampoo and conditioner and a serum to help with irritation. I will let you know how it works. I also ran out of my Oribe dry texturizing spray and didn’t want to buy a full size (yikes at that price). So I opted for the Living Proof full dry volume blast, which I think is similar. While still pricey, not as much as Oribe. Then I purchased Shea Moisture’s Omega 3,6, & 9 Rescue & Repair Hair & Scalp Tonic, which is supposed to help with dryness and irritation. I’m hoping it helps!
Then, I got Abby a replacement First Aid Beauty face moisturizer, which works great for her and keeps her skin nourished and clear. I also got two Pacifica makeup remover wipes, as they were buy one get one 50% off. I like the concept of this brand and want to try more of their products.
Lastly, I repurchased Neutrogena’s makeup remover, which is a holy grail product for me. And I got a Body Shop Christmas gift, which is a shower gel, body lotion, and loofa in Satsuma, for a friend.
What did you get with your 20% coupon? I’d love to know!
I just got my Sephora Play box in the mail today…and I love it! I really think Sephora is stepping up their boxes month after month. This month is all makeup except for a dry shampoo…which I needed because we are going to Mexico next week, and I wanted a travel size dry shampoo. Woot!
The theme is Partygoers and is geared to all night, long lasting makeup. The box has some really great products from high end brands.
The dry shampoo featured is from drybar. I am looking forward to trying this out on our trip to Cancun next week. I also got Makeup Forever’s Step 1 Smoothing Primer. I almost bought this months ago, and just couldn’t take the plunge, so I’m glad it was included in the box. Then, the box included a travel size UD All Nighter spray, which I love and have used for years. Excited to have a small size to take on my trip!
The only color makeup product is a Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red (01). I think I will pass this along to a sister as I don’t need any more liquid lipsticks, plus I don’t need another red. Then, Bobby Brown Smoky Eye Mascara was included. I will put this in my stash for use later. Lastly, the perfume sample is from Elizabeth and James and is Nirvana Bourbon. It has notes of vanilla bourbon, tuberose, and spice woods. It is a warm scent and perfect for this time of year. I sprayed it on my wrist and have been inhaling it excessively. It’s really nice!
Did you get anything different in your Sephora Play? What did you think of this month’s box?
Seeing as how my life is in chaos with school and work recently, it has taken a hot minute to film and upload my purchases from the November Sephora VIB Rouge sale. Check out what I got, and share in the comments what you purchased!
Check out what I have used up in the video below. I also give you a life update on why posts have been lacking the last couple of months. Thank you for all the continued support!
