I recently ordered a bunch of sheet masks from Tony Moly on Ulta’s website and wanted to share what I got with this purchase!
The sheet masks were each $3.75, and I opted to try one of almost all that are available.
I got Orange, Seaweed, Broccoli, Pumpkin, Pomegranate, Rice Milk, and Red Wine. I am super intrigued by the red wine mask!
I also picked up two Pur Minerals lipsticks that were 60% off ($7.20 each). I got Smooth Talker, which is a nude, pink shade, and Debutante, which is a muted berry. Both are sheer in pigmentation, but feel smooth and moisturizing on the lips.
Then I got a few products for my eyes. I decided to try the NYX HD Eye Shadow Base in place of my almost empty Nars ProPrime. I also needed another NYX MicroBrow in Ash Brown. I have been loving Benefit Gimme Brow, which was a sample in a subscription box, but I didn’t want to pay over $20, so I decided to try the Essence Make Me Brow. I hear this is a dupe. I’ll let you know!
So there you have it! I’ll let you know what I think of the sheet masks in a future post!
Check out if I am making a lot of progress or not so much on the five products I am panning for the 5 by Fall project pan challenge!
I am really impressed with this month’s Sephora Play box. It’s all about eyes with the theme of “The Eye Openers.” There are high quality products included and decent sample sizes as well! Check it out!
I think the bag the products came in this month is the cutest so far! It has “Wink outside the box” written along the bottom with a pair of large winky eyes in the middle.
There are two skin care items included this month: Algenist Eye Renewal Balm which is supposed to help with anti-aging and puffiness and Lancome Energie de Vie Smoothing and Glowing Liquid Care Moisturizer. The texture of the moisturizer is lightweight and almost gel like, so I think it will be nice to use as we transition from summer to fall.
Then there are three eye products: Urban Decay Perversion mascara, Makeup Forever Artist Shadow in I-544 (which is a beautiful purply-pink shade), and Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12 hr Wear Waterproof in Love Affair (which is a shimmery plum shade). The eyeshadow and eyeliner are going to pair perfectly together!
Lastly, a perfume was included by Clean in Reserve Warm Cotton. It smells just like fresh laundry from the dryer, which is nice in theory, but on the skin is overwhelming and not my type of scent. I will probably pass this along or toss it.
Otherwise, I am excited to test out this month’s Sephora Play box. Are you happy with your box?
Check out the video below to see all the products I’ve used up this month, plus my thoughts on whether they are good or bad!
To finish out my work week series, here is a look inside my work bag! I go over all the essentials I need for a functional and simple work tote.
Check out my first get ready with me video! I show you how I do my makeup for work: neutral, simple, yet polished. I hope you enjoy this different type of video.
I am a professor of nursing in a bachelor’s program here in Atlanta. While the office environment is laid back, the dress code is business casual, especially on days when you are teaching. Today was my first day back for the fall semester, so I wanted to look put together, but also comfy, because I was teaching for four hours! While many of the items you see here are no longer available, I have linked similar items below. This outfit was also created on a budget, which is great when you teach in academia along with being a graduate student…I don’t like to spend a lot on my clothes, in general, and always try to get a bargain, despite being on a budget!
Necklace: J. Crew (similar); Chambray top: GH Bass & Co. (similar); Skirt: TJ Maxx (similar; similar; similar); Bag: Kate Spade (similar; I got mine at the outlet mall, so I can’t find one exactly similar)
Shoes: Payless (similar)
I hope you enjoyed a look at what I wear on a typical day at the office! xoxo
